The spiral ribs of V60 dripper has been such an icon in the industry for a long time- Hario is now giving us something new in that field. A star-shaped ribs!
The biggest difference this new dripper has to the classic V60 is that you only have to pour once- simply fill up the dripper, and let the star do your job. The meticulously calculated rib pattern will guide the water flow to drip through the coffee, and voila, a delicious coffee, into the server it goes.
The dripper is available in ceramic and in plastic, and it is a perfect dripper to gift to someone who is new to the coffee brewing, or for you to enjoy and appreciate the well-controlled brew made by Hario with their 100 years (literally) of experience!

I've been testing mugen for basic training of many students, easy to use with good results, even for users with more expertise
I don’t know how it compares against V60. That said, it is easy to use, and the coffee taste pretty good.
The Hario Mugen is a beauty to look at. Furthermore, it produces a wonderful cup without complicating the brewing process. For newbies and pros alike, I'd say.
This is a very interesting dripper to me, as I'm looking towards using it on some different pouring techniques. One of those techniques will be the original 40:60 technique by Tetsuya Kasuya. I reckon this dripper is more suitable for that kind of brewing style. Another technique will be the osmosis technique featured by CAFEC, and I'll be applying it on this Hario dripper. It'll be interesting.
Nice Dripper. Come with with consistent taste.
