The ridges really help for a perfect, stable, and leveled fit! It also raises the dripper a little bit compared to having it directly on a mug / receiver, which is good, so that I have an easier time seeing the flow
I bought a pair of origami ceramic drippers and a pair origami resin dripper holder and both did not disappoinf as the resin origami holder has grooves in the middle hole that fits securely to the grooves of the bottome hole of the origami, hence less chance of breaking the origami dripper due to accidents.
I was a little worried of the material, but it withstand temperature like a champ, the design is superb and it really fit my origami (M), i bought two and both were perfect i will suggest this over the wooden one any day
