The Parainema variety from Honduras has become a familiar name at Kurasu.
Of the five lots of single variety Parainema we received, Ronnie's was the one with the most distinctive character.

Complex acidity, candy-like texture and sweetness. There is also a decent Honduran calmness in the lingering finish.

I can't wait to see which one will be your favorite, the Pacas we've sold before or the Palainema we've sold this time!

He started picking cherries with the workers when he was very young.

At the age of 15 he became interested in the trade and with a friend started buying and selling some coffee bags during school vacations.


In 1983, he started working for a coffee trader company and has worked his way up to being the trader manager for all of Honduras.

From 1998 to 2006, he managed a coffee farm in the lowlands around Lake Yojoa, but sold it because it did not do well and had no future because of its low elevation (600 meters).
In 2014 he began researching specialty coffees and purchased his current land which has a lot of quality potential.
