Some may came across "Origami" before - ori means "folding", and g(k)ami means "paper" - which is a Japanese art of paper folding (paper cranes may be the most famous of this kind.) This beautiful ORIGAMI Dripper is inspired by the spirit of the playfully colorful, creative but delicate craft loved for centuries.
While it is visually fun and definitely will be a conversation starter, it also realizes the best brew you could ever dream of. The product design team worked with many baristas and worked out an ideal blooming/dripping time and the shape that makes it possible- the 20 ribs creates air channels and keeps the brewing smooth and clog-free, which gives you great control over the dripping speed.
The dripper is made of Mino porcelain- one of Japan's most prestigious potteries with more than 400 years of history. This ‘M’ size coffee dripper can fill 1 to 4 cups with deliciously brewed, aromatic coffee. Pick your favorite origami and be creative!>>>View Wooden holder for ORIGAMI Dripper
Not easy to get right but after many tries, it is becoming my favourite dripper as it makes excellent coffee. Grind size is actually finer than other drippers.
Beautiful colour and sharp! So easy to extract. Both fit for kalita wave or V60 filter. The water run fast and the material would not absorb too much heat. So I think it is suitable for new brewer to avoid over extraction.
I bought this nice dripper in combination with the "ORIGAMI Dripper Wooden Holder" - which I really recommend to do: The wooden holder suits perfectly the dripper and holds it in place.
The ceramic dripper itself has a very interesting shape. I use it with Kalita Wave 185 filters as well as with Hario V60 filters - it works with both filters (although I tend to prefer the Kalita Wave filters, but thats just my taste...). I would recommend it if you are looking for a non-ususal dripper.
the turquoise dripper is just as beautiful as expected, beautifully made and happily using it ever since.
