Glass Matcha Whisk Stand

A beautiful glass tea whisk stand, carefully handcrafted one by one by artisans dedicated to their craft.

About The Product

The unique, flowing beauty created by traditional craftsmanship

This glass tea whisk stand is made from borosilicate glass, a type of glass with a high boron content that has a low thermal expansion rate and excellent heat resistance. Borosilicate glass is widely used in laboratory equipment and cookware as heat-resistant and hard glass. It is dishwasher-safe, making it suitable not only for home use but also for operations in professional settings.

At the factory, each piece is crafted using the mouth-blown technique: molten glass is gathered on the tip of a stainless steel blowpipe, then shaped by inflating it with air. Because of this method, variations naturally occur in thickness, form, and the way bubbles appear. The fine lines that resemble patterns and the gentle undulations felt on the surface convey the warmth and character that only handmade glass can offer.

Designed to preserve the delicate beauty of the tea whisk

A whisk stand is a tool designed to dry and keep the tea whisk hygienic, crafted with the ideal shape and material to avoid damaging the tips of the prongs. Also known as chasen-naoshi or chasen-yasume, it is used to extend the life of the tea whisk, which tends to lose its shape over time and become less effective for whisking matcha.

This whisk stand is designed with a raised base, so the tips of the whisk do not touch the bottom. This helps keep the whisk clean after use while preventing wear and tear on the tips. In addition, the wide opening ensures that the inner prongs fit comfortably without strain, allowing the whisk’s natural graceful curves and shape to be preserved. As a result, it serves as a reliable tool to support daily tea preparation while maintaining the whisk’s beauty over time.

  • Place the whisk in a bowl of lukewarm water and gently shake it to remove any matcha residue.
  • If the residue is difficult to remove, soak the whisk briefly in lukewarm water to soften it, then gently rub with your fingers.
  • Wipe off excess moisture, place the whisk onto the whisk stand, and reshape the prongs.
  • Let it air-dry naturally in a well-ventilated, shaded area, avoiding direct sunlight.

  • Before first use, wash, rinse, and dry the glass thoroughly.
  • When washing, use a soft sponge, brush, or scrubber. Do not use metal scrubbers, abrasive sponges, or coarse cleansers, as they may scratch the glass.
  • While this product is dishwasher-safe, please note that unexpected damage may occur. We kindly ask that you exercise caution when using a dishwasher and do so at your own discretion.
  • As each piece is mouth-blown by artisans, slight variations in dimensions may occur. Due to the nature of glass, small bubbles or streaks may also be present. We hope you will appreciate these as part of its handmade character.
  • Do not use the product if there are cracks, chips, or deep scratches on the glass, as it may break unexpectedly.
  • Not suitable for use in ovens, microwaves, hot plates, gas stoves, ceramic cooktops, or induction cooktops.
  • When the glass is hot, use oven mitts or similar protection. Avoid touching it with a wet cloth or placing it on a damp surface while hot, as this may cause breakage.
  • Please handle with care, as sudden temperature differences exceeding 120℃ may cause the glass to crack.
