    Title

Feel the Organic warmth of the unglazed pottery

This "& Kalita" series's beautiful Hasami porcelain range has been capturing the hearts of many.  Following their beautiful previous Kalita & Hasami series (Wave/HA dripper), Kalita now introduces a special, warm-colored dripper using a blend of "Sagan (sandstone in Japanese)" and Hasamiyaki's signature Amakusa Touseki potter's stone.

This incredibly simple and natural dripper conveys an organic joy of connecting with earth and nature. The matt, natural aesthetics and texture reminds us of the pleasant feeling of being our natural self.

*This dripper is not glazed, so please rinse it with water and clean with a soft sponge after use.

Collaboration by the masters of Hasamiyaki and Kalita

We're proud to offer the Kalita Hasami Dripper, a fine work of collaboration between Kalita and Hasamiyaki.

This wonderful dripper is made using the Hasamiyaki – meaning Hasami porcelain – method, a traditional porcelain crafting method that originates four centuries ago in the Hasami town, Nagasaki prefecture. Hasamiyakiuses Amakusa Touseki,a potter's stone from Amakusa, Kumamoto. This SG "Sagan (Sandstone in Japanese)" dripper blends warm-colored sandstone and Amakusa Touseki potter's stone to create this beautifully natural dripper.

This collaboration between Kalita and Hasamiyakihas allowed the creation of a porcelain that is both slim and sturdy, a perfect merging of light weight and lasting durability. Each is handcrafted by experienced artisans, and the level of craftsmanship is exhibited by its quality.

The Kalita Hasami Dripper maintains the Kalita tradition of design, and this time-tested, signature design  ensures that Kalita's products always yield an extraordinary brew.

The Hasami Dripper's design also allows it to sit sturdily on any server or mug. The bottom of the dripper is crafted with a beautifully-rendered outline of the Kalita logo and the “Made in Japan” seal.

*Each dripper is hand-made. It is common to find features such as the followings due to the nature of the product and its material. Any characters it may have are within tolerance unless it affects the dripping process.

        - "pin hole" caused by a tiny air bubble in the clay comes up to the surface during the baking process and creates a little crater
        - Some Kalita logos on the body may appear more/less embossed than the others
        -  The opening of the dripper may appear oval rather than a perfectly round shape
        - The lip of the dripper/ the base appears wavy
        - There may be a small crack/scratches on the surface, but this is due to the nature of the material and to the fact that it does not have glazing. These are still safe to use and not a defect.

        Fantastic

Beautiful dripper that came as an order with 2 x Origami drippers. The package arrived to the UK within a week of ordering with no issues what so ever.
All pieces are amazing, especially the Kalita with it being handmade from sandstone. Definitely one of my trophy pieces on my coffee bar. Thank you so much for the great service!

        Revised design of Kalita Wave

Kalita Wave Sagan (Sandstone) is one of the new wave drippers with the revised ridge + holes design in the bottom. The holes are close to the ridges that allows more space and hence reduce choking in the bottle of the filer. I like the touch of sandstone, although some may suggest it hinder or retain some aroma or flavour of the coffee. I don't have any problem with that.

        Beautiful and delicious

This filter looks really stunning with the sandstone ceramic, plus the coffee it makes is delicious. A nice and acidic coffee with lots of complex flavours.
