The name Hario originated from the combination of the Japanese word hari (玻璃) or glass and o (王) or king, combined formed the meaning the King of Glass. A brand with more than 100 years of experience under its belt started in 1921 as a laboratory glassware seller and manufacturer in Tokyo, Japan. I recently bought several items this being one that caught my curiosity to my work flow at home. When I opened the box I was instantly delighted with the build quality of porcelain and weight that came with this item. Obviously, a great pairing with V60 brewers Tetsu, Magen, but also great when making tea. The size and heft requirer you give it respect when you reach for it, when you make use of it, even when you clean it. A wonderful item I take pride in owning.
