This "& Kalita" series's beautiful Hasami porcelain range has captured the hearts of many. Now you can get hold of this heavenly charm in the shape of another iconic dripper, Kalita Wave.
Collaboration by the masters of Hasamiyaki and Kalita
We're proud to offer the Kalita Hasami Dripper, a fine work of collaboration between Kalita and Hasamiyaki.
This wonderful dripper is made using the Hasamiyaki – meaning Hasami porcelain – method, a traditional porcelain crafting method that originates four centuries ago in the Hasami town, Nagasaki prefecture. Hasamiyakiuses Amakusa Touseki,a potter's stone from Amakusa, Kumamoto, to arrive at its characteristic pure-white color.
This collaboration between Kalita and Hasamiyakihas allowed the creation of a porcelain that is both slim and sturdy, a perfect merging of light weight and lasting durability. Each is handcrafted by experienced artisans, and the level of craftsmanship is exhibited by the ability to actually see light through finished the porcelain.
The Kalita Hasami Dripper maintains the Kalita tradition of design, and this time-tested, signature design ensures that Kalita's products always yield an extraordinary brew.
The Hasami Dripper's design also allows it to sit sturdily on any server or mug. The bottom of the dripper is crafted with a beautifully-rendered outline of the Kalita logo and the “Made in Japan” seal.

I love the beauty of the beauty of the Kalita dropper, beautifully delicate, with great design and functionality. I'm happy using the drip here in Chile!
The Kurasu sales and tracking service has also been excellent, I hope to re-buy Kalita in Kurasu soon
Prior to receiving this dripper, I had only used conical brewers such as the V60. Although I love the clarity that V60 provided but the Kalita provides a much sweeter cup with richer body.
My first flatbed dripper. The ceramic retains heat well and the flat bed makes consistent drip coffee easy to achieve.
I suppose if you have some very good grind of beans and you'd like a slightly slower drip, this is the one. It didn't go as fast as cone dripper and itx almost certain that you will get a very good bloom out of it.
The brewer is very well made and sturdy. It's really hard to mess up your cup since the flat bottom promotes even extraction and no channeling. Highly recommend getting the ceramic version because it drains quicker.
