Yamanaka-shikki lacquerware originated in the Ishikawa prefecture of Japan, and the methods themselves have been used since the 18th century. Pieces are carved one-by-one by skilled artisans, masters of turning the lathe and carefully applying the blade to manipulate and shape the wood.
The secret of Yamanaka-shikki craftsmanship is tategidori, the way in which the artisans trim the wood used in crafting their wares. Tategidoriinvolves the cutting of wood horizontally, along the grain, rather than the common practice of cutting vertically. This results in a finished product that is far more durable and long lasting end product.
I am so madly in love with how beautiful this dripper is. Its heat retention is great as well. It's very easy to get results similar to V60 drippers.

a satisfisfaction. If you choice this drippre, the result response the good coffee.
Cool design, high quality dripper. Very sweet and intense cup.
Love the way the wooden dripper is carved and the coffee made with.
Very nice and compact to handle
Subtle and fragrant, wonderful to drink neat, but my personal favourite would be with soy/oatmilk, finally found a brand for my daily caffeine dose 😍
A good balance of sweetness and fruitiness. I usually like light roast beans but I enjoyed the medium roast summer blend very much.
