Kurasu expertise in roasting and brewing combined with Varia’s design and precision manufacturing abilities make for a perfect marriage to create a new and innovative brewer!

ADAPT FLOW RATE TO THE COFFEE

FLO is a study into the effects of flow dynamics in extractions. A patented design created by Varia and refined by Kurasu, FLO utilises a two part assembly with interchangeable flow screens which provided variations in flow rate, flow paths and contact time.

SELECT YOUR SCREEN / CHANGE THE FLOW RATE

Select from a range of specially designed filter plates that enhance your brewing experience and allow for ultimate control over flow rate and bed saturation.

An ability to brew using a (fast) slotted filter plate for use with paper as well as a (slow) hole pattern allows for multiple brew methods as well as brewing without the necessity of a paper filter.

TWIN WALL INSULATED STAINLESS STEEL BODY

FLO also utilises an extremely difficult manufacturing process to insulate the two layers of Stainless Steel to produce a cool touch exterior wall allowing for a minimal design without a handle for a more comfortable, intuitive and efficient workflow.

VARIA × KURASU FLO SCREENS

Chemical photo etching technology provides an extremely precise cutting of ultra thin stainless steel and can achieve absolute tolerances and uniformity as well as achieving advanced geometries and patterns in both 3D and 2D planes.

Please note - the FLO dripper comes with 3 x FLO screens as standard (Fast, Medium & Slow) flow rates.

Still getting familiar with it

Love it with faster bottom parts but slowest seems to stall quite bit much other than that some parts are quite sharp

A fun experience

Interesting to be able to adjust the flow rate. Good heat retention while not hot to touch on the outside. Great aesthetics.
