Made in Japan
Kalita was founded in 1958 in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. They produce quality drip-based-coffee-making equipments and is well known for their paper filters, drippers, and grinders. Now Kalita has become a household name amoung coffee enthusiasts.
The dripper’s slim, stylish form allows the coffee to be perfectly layered and shaped to extract the best possible flavor. The finely-crafted, porcelain dripper features special internal ribs which guide the flow of water through the coffee grains.
The large outlet hole ensures the optimum rate of flow for consistently smooth, full-flavored, fresh-tasting coffee. Each Torch dripper set features an exquisite, black or white, Japanese Mino Yaki style porcelain dripper with an untreated, white ash base. Over time the attractive wooden base gains additional character from the natural patterns and staining of regular use.
I Really like using filters from Kalita; they are nice and afforable.
Perfect for trapezoid shape kalita filters!
I assumed this would fit Mountain dripper perfectly but I find it a tad too big. Still, it delivers a very clean cup. Now, I use it on my auto-drip coffee machine for 1-2 cups :)
Have always been an avid user of this product. Never fails to disappoint with the crisp clear taste. Credit must go to the prompt delivery too. Took 3 days from order placement to arrive to where I am in SEA.
It's very great ! The coffee brewing was very bright and clean.
I loved my taster set. It was excellent. I am definitely going to order again.
Perfect for espresso machine!
Very suitable for the morning coffee. A bit fruity but it’s well balanced.
After finishing my brew, I used to use my drinking mug as the vessel to carry the "dirty" dripper to the kitchen sink immediately, empty the mug, and came back to my coffee. W/ the drip tray, i no longer need to make that extra detour. Once I finished brewing, i just needed to place the "dirty" dripper to the tray next to my scale. Save so much time. It's one of those "mundane" accessory that has so much impact on your workflow.
- Decided to buy this dripper from Kurasu even though it's available in my country as it's pricey here.
- Recommended to get the M size like I did so that you have the flexibility to brew wider range of grams.
- Even though the origami is ubiquitous, it's one of those designs that you just have on your dripper collection.
