Made in Japan
Sohei Yamamoto creates authentic Kiyomizu-yaki products in Kyoto, Japan. Each of Sohei's products are hand-made by himself in his atelier in Sumiyama, Uji.
Exquisitely conceived by Japanese designer, Teruhiro Yanagihara, these 1616/Arita TY White Series Cups take coffee to the next level. Light and graceful in the hand, this Arita-yaki ceramic ware has a heritage that is said to date back to 1616.Even with their origins in the distant past, the minimal design of these handmade ceramic cups is distinctly modern.
The subtle, conical body of each cup connects with a squared, ‘D’ shaped handle. The lip is gently flared, offering a relaxed, comforting mouth-feel. The TY Series range includes a small espresso cup, a mid-sized coffee cup and a modernist mug for larger servings.
Practical, also as an aesthetic experience.
Beautiful shape, grip, appropriate capacity, and physical properties. It's good to not miss either one.
Sometimes I just stare at it.... Its lines and curves blended with those colors entice the senses
I love this mug, bought 2 and 100% impressed.
I bought 5 coffee cups and 3 cups as gifts.
My friends and I just love them so much!
Good quality, a must-see.
Mauricio Rosales's coffee is an amazing single estate.
It's a perfect coffee for after lunch or breakfast.
Lingering length and aroma, very good indeed!
Perfect size for my daily morning coffee. It’s perfect in keeping my coffee hot during those cold mornings. Love the minimalist design as well (would be even better if it said made in Japan on it).
