PLA Material Reduces Clogging and Brings Out Each Bean’s Character
The V60 Coffee Paper Filter METEOR incorporates polylactic acid (PLA) into part of its material to help reduce clogging. By allowing water to pass through smoothly and evenly, it achieves an extraction speed approximately three times faster than conventional V60 paper filters—making it possible to express the delicate flavor nuances of specialty coffee with greater clarity.
Thanks to this smooth water flow, the filter is less prone to clogging than standard paper filters, shortening extraction time while preserving aroma and flavor, resulting in a clean and transparent cup.
The even extraction also minimizes unwanted bitterness, and produces a light, refined body.
Environmentally Conscious Material Choice
The V60 Coffee Paper Filter METEOR is made from a blend of paper, abaca, and polylactic acid (PLA).
Abaca is a natural fiber derived from a plant related to the banana family. It offers both flexibility and strength, along with excellent liquid permeability.
Polylactic acid (PLA) is a plant-based bioplastic and a biodegradable material that breaks down through microbial activity. Known for its high level of safety, it is also used in medical applications. METEOR places strong emphasis not only on extraction performance, but also on environmental consideration through thoughtful material choices.
The resealable package includes printed instructions and is designed to double as a paper filter stand, offering practical ease of use.
