Important Notice: U.S. Shipments and Customs Duties

As recently announced, the U.S. government has decided to suspend the De Minimis exemption. This is a significant and unexpected development for us as well. Once this change takes effect, all shipments from us to the U.S.—regardless of value—will be subject to U.S. customs duties upon importation, and these duties will be billed directly to you.

Beginning August 29, all shipments passing through the U.S. will be subject to customs duties. Any applicable duties are the responsibility of the customer and must be paid upon delivery.

For most shipments to the U.S., we use DHL. If customs duties are applied, DHL will invoice you directly. Please note that if payment is refused, the shipment will be returned to Japan. In such cases, we cannot refund the cost of food products (e.g., coffee, matcha, hojicha) or shipping fees, and we kindly ask for your understanding.

Please also note that roasted coffee beans (including cold brew) require 3 to 10 business days to prepare for dispatch. Therefore, if you place an order shortly before the policy takes effect, your package may not ship until on or after August 29.

We will continue to closely monitor official announcements from the U.S. government and share updates as soon as they become available. For now, there are no actionable steps we can take, and the real-world impact remains uncertain.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support as we navigate these changes together, and we remain committed to delivering our products to you with the utmost care.
