We are building a new shop in Kyoto, opening in June. The keyword for us is “home brew”

This isn’t something we’ve though of in reaction to the current situation surrounding the world. Kurasu started as an online shop selling Japanese coffee equipements and we always wanted a location that can more signify who we are.

We started to brainstorm this concept early January 2020 when situation started changing due to the coronavirus. Our cafes sales were devastated but our online sales skyrockets turning our tiny Kyoto shop into a fulfilment warehouse. It’s been a tough 2 months for us but at the same time grateful for all the support and reinforced that what we were doing was in the right direction all along.

Now we’re excited to be able to materialize our aspirations through our new store.
