The name Hario originated from the combination of the Japanese word hari (玻璃) or glass and o (王) or king, combined formed the meaning the King of Glass. A brand with more than 100 years of experience under it's belt started in 1921 as a laboratory glassware seller and manufacturer in Tokyo, Japan. Using their heatproof glassware and glass processing techniques, Hario started creating coffee siphons in 1948. Later on they expanded to creating their well loved home products from other materials. They are now a household name among coffee brewing enthusiasts.
Elegance meets practicality in this popular Hario Coffee Server. Premium quality and attention to detail are vital elements of the Hario design philosophy. Hario has been developing and refining their heat resistant glass since the foundation of the company in 1921.
The glass is graduated with cup markers for precision brewing. This attractive server is fully compatible with Hario’s best-selling, V60 drippers.
The metal V60 looks good and brews very well. I have a older glass V60 which works well enough, but this one works better on top of my tall Thermos bottle. The combination of metal sidewalls and somewhat flexible silicone rubber holder allows the outlet to sit on top of the narrow mouth opening without being wobbly. It is not possible to use the glass V60 on this same Thermos without removing the plastic holder base, which then means handling a hot glass dripper with bare hands once finished brewing. Making this is a more flexible brewer.
Given the material, the heat retention is better and not afraid it is broken when dropped. Enjoy brewing with this and looks good in photos too.
Beautiful and practical ! I was surprised on how light it was.
Matte black to the legendary V60 what is there not to love?! Suprisingly lightweight too.
This is definitely one of the most beautiful dripper that I have ever seen.
My personal recipe is a 10 gram recipe and after trying out so many filters, this has become my favorite as it had a slightly slower draw down. I always end up with a really clean cup. My daily driver is this, paired with the Tujiwa Kanaami hand woven mesh dripper which I also bought here at Kurasu.
I absolutely love this easy pot!
This brewer is stunning and versatile, I can brew good tasting coffee using both flat and conical filter papers. I haven’t really used it that much but it’s good so far.
Overall a really refreshing and fruity coffee to have before bed/late at night without the caffeine buzz. The caramel aftertaste/mellow bitterness accompanies the white peach fruity notes to give something similar to a white peach tart/pie. It goes super well with caneles/basque cheesecake/or any dessert with a deep caramelized taste or simply just some cut up white peaches.
Really nice blend of matcha to have everyday, honestly it’s kinda hard to find this amount of high quality matcha for this price
