Mino Ware has 1300 years of history, produced in Japan’s biggest pottery production area, Tono region in Gifu. Tono region consists of several sub-regions, all known for superb pottery making- Tajimi, Toki, Mizunami, and Kani. This beautiful drippers were made in a town of Dachi in Toki, and each one of the dripper proudly holds a “DACHI” brand carved onto the bottom.

A Yohen glaze is applied, which changes color as they are fired in the kiln- each comes out in its own unique shade, making your dripper a one of a kind.

A Mild, Glazed Pottery With Texture & Mood

The body is glazed and has a smooth, soft shine, while the edges like the bottom of the base are left unglazed, exposing the raw, matte pottery texture.

Still an Iconic Kalita Wave, More Flavorful, Aromatic Cup

Kalita Wave dripper series is known for its stable and repeatable brewing performance: the unique shape of the flat bottom and the holes located to control the water flow help you getting the most out of the coffee.


This MI dripper has a slightly bigger holes than the standard Kalita Wave by 2mm, which makes an even more flavorful and aromatic cup.

  • Do not wash in a dishwasher.
  • Do not drag this product on the table- it may scratch and damage the table.
  • Avoid exposing the product to strong shocks and sudden temperature changes, which may cause cracks or breakage.
  • If the product chips or cracks, please stop using the product for safety reasons.
  • Do not use the product over an open flame, oven, or induction heater.
  • Do not leave the product soaked in water for a long time, as the pottery absorb dirt and other contamination, which can cause mildew or stains.
  • Do not use hard sponges, metal scrubbers, or cream cleansers as they will damage the surface.
  • Dry well before storing in a cupboard. Moisture left on the product can cause odors and mold.
  • Scrubbing the product with metal spoons, forks, knives, etc. may leave metal scuff marks.

About Kalita

Kalita was found in 1958 in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. They produce quality drip-based-coffee-making equipments and is well known for their paper filters, drippers, and grinders. Now Kalita has become a household name amoung coffee enthusiasts.
