How to brew with Kurasu Coffee Drip Bag

We've been asked to stock coffee drip bags by so many customers, especially who travels a lot. It is one of the biggest issues for traveling coffee lovers: the risk of lacking good coffee when on the road.

Ever since Kurasu started house roasting, it gave us the opportunity to make this request into a reality. So let us learn how to brew with Kurasu Coffee Drip Bag.

How to Brew with Kurasu Coffee Drip Bag:

You need:
1 Kurasu Coffee Drip Bag
Mug cup
Kettle
180g Hot water

The ratio we recommend is 1:15.
(Kurasu Coffee Drip Bag contains 12g of coffee grind, so you will need 180g of water.)

1. Tear along the dotted line to open Kurasu Coffee Drip Bag

2. Pull the hangers on the side apart to spread the bag open, and push in the top part. Be careful not to spill the coffee grind.

3. Pull the hangers and place them onto the cup

4. Pour hot water to wet the coffee grind, and let it bloom for 30 seconds (If you have a scale, pour 30g of water.) This is a very important process to extract the sweetness and flavor.

5. Pour the water slowly and evenly to the top (Approx. 80g)

6. Once the water level goes down to 1/3 from the bottom, pour the rest (Approx.70g, 180g in total) and let it all drip. Remove the drip bag from the cup and serve.

Finish the process ideally in 2 minutes or so.

Tips: if your mug is tall, pour the water in 3 separate times, and 4 times if shallow to make the dripping process easier to check and control.

Allow it to bloom well; careful, patient and even pouring will make the flavor even more complex and vibrant.

ENJOY!
