China has been slowly but steadily establishing their space in the industry as a specialty coffee origin- Mountain Mover, an importer, deals Chinese coffee, focusing especially on Yunnan origin. We have connected with their CEO, Zhao-san, 2 years ago and purchasing beautiful and special Chinese coffee ever since.

Some of you may tried our previous Chinese coffees and surprised by its unique flavor that is atypical of Asian coffee. And we know that Yunnan is becoming a quiet star, gaining more and more admirers.

For this year’s lot, Mountain Mover has tackled the issue we faced last year- a notable amount of underdeveloped beans mixed in. Addressing issues in the production process is significantly more difficult than addressing that of what happens at the destination, and we feel a great respect for Mountain Mover for their devotion to face the challenge and improve.

As a roaster, I will too face this coffee beans properly with respect.
