Roaster's Note

This is the very first Thai coffee we have at Kurasu.
The quality of Asian coffee is progressing every year, but we have not had a good encounter within a practical price range yet.
When choosing what to pick from among the many samples to share with our customers, one of the criteria is whether we can feel the terroir in the cup.

"Terroir" refers to the characteristics of the origin's land, atmosphere and culture, but since coffee goes through so much processes until it becomes the final liquid form, there is currently no standard or definition of it.

However, from this Ayo & Mika's Anaerobic Natural, we could sense the characteristics of the terroir that we recognize as that of Thailand.
It is the soil, the climate, the naturally occurred distribution of varieties and agricultural techniques.
You could just call it "an anaerobic taste," but we'd say this coffee is what it is precisely because of the origin, and it cannot naturally become it anywhere else.

This purchase was made possible thanks to one of our roasting team members who is from Thailand. We hope this coffee will be a good opportunity to think about what terroir is.
